Judi Dench not kicking the acting bucket soon

Los Angeles - Dame Judi Dench doesn't want to retire yet.

The 78-year-old actress has no plans to slow down in the near future as she believes her film career has only just kicked off and she still has plenty more worthwhile roles ahead of her.

When remarked that she will turn 80 in December 2014, she said, "Oh yes, but don't say that! That's an absolutely filthy thing to say. Don't say 'old', don't say 'retired', and don't say '80'. I'm not even considering retiring."

However, the screen legend has recently undergone knee replacement surgery after she was struck down with chronic pain for several weeks earlier this year, but she's adamant that she's on the road to recovery and now no longer needs crutches to aid her walking.

In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, the Skyfall star explained, "I am fully recovered now. I don't want to make a big thing out of it. I'm doing the physio, and that's all fine. It's an extraordinary thing, knee replacement. How do they even set about it?"
