London – Keira Knightley will voice fairy Tinker Bell in a new version of Neverland.
The Never Let Me Go actress will voice her character alongside Anna Friel, Rhys Ifans, Bob Hoskins and Charles Dance in the four-hour miniseries, which will be screened on US TV channel Syfy.
The story tells the tale of Peter Pan - played by Charlie Rowe - who joins a group of young pick-pocketers on a quest to find a magical orb which will take them to another world named Neverland.
Quiet career
Keira's Tinker Bell leads a colony of tree spirits in the mysterious land, which houses a number of famous people.
She will record her voice role in the UK spring and the series will be shown on TV in December.
Oscar-nominated Keira has seen her career go quiet in recent years since starring in 2008's The Duchess.
In 2010 she took a leading role in much maligned London Boulevard with Colin Farrell and is expected to be seen in cinemas later this year in A Dangerous Method, about the intense relationship between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
