Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian has won a part in The Marriage Counselor.
The 31-year-old star - best known for her reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians - will play Ava, a co-worker of leading character Judith in the Tyler Perry-directed film.
Friday Night Lights actress Jurnee Smollett will play the lead role of a woman who stops working as a marriage therapist when she rekindles a relationship with an old flame.

Production is due to begin on Wednesday in Atlanta, and is based on Terry's 10th play of the same name.
Despite being best known for her celebrity endorsements and red carpet appearances, Kim has had a number of acting roles in the past - she had a guest spot on CSI: NY in 2009 and has previously appeared in Deep in the Valley and Disaster Movie.
Kim tweeted her delight at her casting on Saturday, saying: "Big news!! I'm co-starring in Tyler Perry's new movie!(sic)"
