Kristen Stewart 'out' of Snow White sequel

Los Angeles - Kristen Stewart will reportedly not be returning for the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

The 22-year-old star - who portrayed the titular character in this year's fantasy film - looks set to miss out on the follow up to the movie as the motion picture's storyline concentrates on Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kristen recently admitted cheating on her boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson after she was pictured embracing her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders - whose wife Liberty Ross plays Kristen's onscreen mother in the movie - and the pair both issued public apologies.

'No decisions'

Plans are thought to be ongoing to make Chris' Huntsman the main focus of a sequel, but none of the cast are yet to have been confirmed for the film.

A Universal representative told E!: "We are exploring options to continue the franchise and no decisions have been made."

Despite the incident, Rupert is thought to still be on the list of candidates to direct the follow-up, but a writer or helmer are yet to have been officially tied down to the project.

Kristen - who recently pulled out of starring in gritty action thriller Cali and cancelled a planned appearance at the forthcoming On the Road London film premiere - admitted earlier this year that she'd been keen to reprise her role of Snow White in a sequel.

She previously said: "We don't have to do it. That's the coolest thing. There's no pressure. But to be able to expand on this would be awesome."
