Kristen's UK safety rumours quashed

Cape Town – Rumours that Kristen Stewart is in danger and that production on Snow White and the Huntsman  had been halted due to riots in London, were quashed by Universal Pictures on Wednesday.

Celebrity website Hollywood Life reported on Tuesday that "production on Snow White and the Huntsman has come to a standstill as the riots keep getting worse and worse in London!"

Based on Gregory Littley's tweet that a "friend" of his is stuck in London with Kristen Stewart's team and that "they JUST stopped #SnowWhite prep work until riots die down", the story quickly spread on Twitter.

The Daily Mail and Metro Online also reported the same story.

According to Snow White and the Huntsman's fan site, Variety's Justin Kroll received confirmation from Universal Pictures which film editor Josh Dickey shared on Twitter: "London riots have no effect on pre-production or production of SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, per Universal via @krolljvar."

Snow White and the Huntsman also thanked fans and Josh Dickey on their offical Twitter page for "inquiring to the right people" and for the quick response.

The site further explained that "if there are any further changes, we will try to let you know.  But for now, we are considering the Hollywood Life story as 'not confirmed' by Universal Pictures."

According to reports South African actress Charlize Theron, who plays the evil queen, has not yet arrived in London for the filming of Snow White.
