Cape Town - The cast of the upcoming Afrikaans musical comedy Ek Lief Jou, will be attending an exclusive premiere on June 1 in Mimosa Mall, Bloemfontein.

Afrikaans singer Kurt Darren, Belgian actress Ilse De Vis, Christina Storm and Andre Frauenstein will be present for an exclusive premiere of this locally made and produced musical drama. The star studded cast will meet with VIPs, invited guests and members of the media.

Ek Lief Jou opens in cinemas on June 3 and tells the story of singing superstar Dirk de Jong (played by Kurt Darren) whose perfect relationship with his fiancée-agent, Lisa Snyders (Christina Storm) is tested by the arrival of a beautiful Belgian singer who is in the country to compete for the chance to sing with Dirk in his next hit song.

The movie, which was produced by the same team behind the successful Afrikaans drama Jakhalsdans, marks Kurt Darren's first return to the big screen since his cameo appearance in the motor racing comedy-drama The Race-ist, Christina Storm was last seen playing a vampire in the locally produced horror Eternity.
