Los Angeles - Jennifer Love Hewitt is to direct her first feature film Wail Till Helen Comes.
The Ghost Whisperer actress - who
has also gone behind the camera for several episodes of the show - will direct
and produce the ghost story, which tells the tale of a family who move in to a
strange house that turns out to be haunted.
The script - which has been adapted from the novel of the same name by Mary
Downing Hahn - will focus on a 12-year-old girl, the eldest of three children
who discovers the ghost of a young female who may be a danger to the family.
AJ Rinella and Victoria Sanchez Mandrykis will co-produce the movie with
Jennifer while Manual Freedman will executive produce.
Jennifer is currently looking for a cast and is expecting to start filming
There is no release date yet.
The actress received her first Golden Globe Awards nomination this year for
best actress performance in a miniseries or motion picture made for television
for her role in the made-for-TV movie, The
Client List but lost out to Clare Danes in Temple Grandin.
