Mark Wahlberg confirms Uncharted role

Los Angeles – Mark Wahlberg is set to star in computer game adaptation movie Uncharted.

The Other Guys actor has confirmed a script for the project is currently being written by David O. Russell and Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are also in line for roles.

He said: "David is one of the best writer/directors I've ever worked with. The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we'll be making that movie this summer."

Discussing the involvement of De Niro and Pesci, he said: "That's who he wants to write the parts for. I talked to Pesci about it and I know David's people have talked to Robert De Niro."

The 39-year-old star also revealed the movie would not be a "watered down" version of the game.

He told MTV News: "I'm obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It's not going to be the watered-down version, that's for sure."
