Los Angeles - Mark Wahlberg's wife will decide whether their kids can watch Transformers: Age of Extinction.
The 42-year-old stars in the fourth instalment of Michael Bay's alien robot action films and although he hopes his four children - who will be making a small cameo appearance in the movie - can watch him in action, ultimately it's down to his spouse, Rhea Durham.
He said: "I hope they get to see it but it's gonna be up to their mum. She's the one who makes all of those decisions."
Wahlberg has changed his ways and settled into family life insisting he now spends his evenings reading scripts and looking forward to seeing Rhea and Ella, 10, Michael, eight, Brendan, five, and Grace, four.
He added to Empire magazine: "I got a wife and four kids now. So I prefer to go home, read my script and get prepared for the next day, these days. My kids, obviously, are everything to me. And this was the only time they've ever wanted to be in a movie."
Wahlberg can relate to his alter-ego, Cade Yeager, who has an adolescent daughter, and believes he'll have to face the kinds of issues his character deals with in the near future as his oldest child approaches her teenage years.
He added: "I've got a 10-year-old daughter so I'm going to be dealing with those things sooner rather than later."
