Los Angeles - Mark Wahlberg says he got fat while filming Transformers: Age of Extinction in Hong Kong.
The Lone Survivor actor is currently starring as mechanic Cade Yeager in the upcoming fourth movie in the series - directed by Michael Bay - and he's confessed it took him a while to get back into shape after gorging on the local cuisine.
Speaking at the film's premiere in the Chinese city, he said: "I've seen Hong Kong on TV before, but when I landed on the plane, it was just breathtaking.
"And of course the food was fantastic, so I was eating way too much, Michael started to notice I was putting on a little weight.
"Even when I see cast member Li Bingbing now, she said, 'You've lost a lot of weight'. But I couldn't help enjoying the food and I just hope I can come back to Hong Kong when I'm not working so I can actually experience the city and take some time to really see the sights."
The 43-year-old star also opened up about his character's relationship with his daughter Tessa Yeager, played by Nicola Peltz, who together discover deactivated robot Optimus Prime, who features in the original Transformers trilogy.
Mark explained: "He's Cade an all-around good guy, very positive and optimistic and always sees the good in people. He's just an ordinary guy doing extraordinary things to keep his daughter alive."
