Los Angeles - Matt Damon and Jeremy Renner look set to work together on a fifth Bourne film.

Frank Marshall - who has produced all four of the action movies, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum and forthcoming The Bourne Legacy in the franchise - wants the pair to work together on another motion picture in the series and admits "all possibilities are open" to the actors joining forces.

He said: "You see there are several different programmes in the movie with different skill sets. All possibilities are open. My dream is that in the next one we see Matt and Jeremy team up."

Aaron Cross

Matt stars as titular character Jason Bourne in the first three movies of the series, with Jeremy set to make his debut in the latest instalment of the franchise as Aaron Cross, a CIA agent who is brought into a programme similar to the one that trained Jason.

The prospect of Matt and Jeremy teaming up on a fifth Bourne film looks even more likely after Matt admitted last December that he would be keen to reprise his role as Jason in a forthcoming motion picture.

He previously said: "I think if [Bourne Legacy] doesn't work, we can just ignore it and pretend it didn't happen, and that'd be fine. But I expect that it will work and only help us if we did another one, which I'd love to do."

The Bourne Legacy - which also stars Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Joan Allen and Oscar Isaac - will be released on 10 August in the US and on 21 September in South Africa.
