Los Angeles - Mike Tyson is to star in Scary Movie 5.

The 46-year-old former boxer has landed a cameo role in the forthcoming horror spoof movie which stars Charlie Sheen, Ashley Tisdale and Lindsay Lohan along with The Hills beauty Audrina Patridge and former Playboy housemate Kendra Wilkinson.

According to Blackfilm.com Tyson has already started filming the motion picture in Atlanta, Georgia, with co-star Heather Locklear.

The news comes after Ashley took to her Twitter account last week to reveal there were "lots of cameos" being filmed for Scary Movie 5.

"Lots of cameos shooting today on #scarymovie5. Super excited!!!!#thisjobisawesome (sic)," Ahsley wrote.

Details being kept under wraps

Details of Tyson, Kendra and Audrina's roles in the movie which is being directed by Malcolm Lee, are being kept under wraps. But the plot is thought to involve three dancers who are best friends and go up against each other for a role in a new production which is being created by an oversexed and snooty director called Pierre.

Tyson has recently played himself in cameo appearances in The Hangover in 2009 and later in its sequel The Hangover II in 2011.

Audrina has starred in a number of movies including 2009's slasher film Sorority Row alongside Rumer Willis.
