Mitch Winehouse wants to make his own Amy doccie

Los Angeles - Amy Winehouse's father wants to make a documentary about his daughter.

Mitch Winehouse is very unhappy with the way his relationship with the late Rehab singer was portrayed in Asif Kapadia's new film 'Amy' and is now considering his own project to set the record straight.

He said: "I wouldn't mind doing a fly-on-the-wall documentary, but it would have to incorporate the Amy Winehouse Foundation (a charity founded after she died)."

If a biopic of the late star - who tragically died in 2011 at the age of just 27 - is ever made, Mitch already knows who he would like to play him.

Speaking to Heat magazine, he laughed: "It's been mooted Lady Gaga as Amy, but I'd definitely have George Clooney play me!"

Mitch has previously branded the Amy documentary "misleading" and admitted he thought fans would have ''wanted to shoot'' him if they'd seen the original cut of Asif documentary, which he and the rest of the Winehouse family pushed to be edited to give a more accurate portrayal of the Rehab singer's life and relationships with her family.

Mitch said: "Had the first film come out I wouldn't have been able to walk down the street as there would have been people who wanted to shoot me and Amy's manager Ray (Cosbert). It was just preposterous."
