Cape Town - Twilight stars and real-life couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have been ranked at No 1 and No 3, respectively, on Forbes' list of the top ten most-bankable actors in Hollywood.
Forbes calculated that for every dollar 21-year-old Kristen is paid, her movies earn an average of $55.83. Her co-star Robert, meanwhile, lands third on the chart for bringing in an average of $39.43 for every dollar he is paid.
The latest movie in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 1, has earned nearly $600m worldwide while the entire franchise has grossed $2.4bn - with one final film still to be released in 2012.
Return on investment
The lower returns of Robert's underperforming movies Water for Elephants (co-starring Reese Witherspoon) and Remember Me pulled down his average return.
Coming in second place is Oscar-nominated star Anne Hathaway, who recently announced her engagement to Adam Shulman. Her bankable status came courtesy of the blockbuster film Alice in Wonderland (which grossed over $1bn at the box office on a $200m budget) and the relatively low-budget romantic comedy Bride Wars.
Forbes calculated that Anne earned $45.67 for every dollar she's paid.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe - recently named Britain's highest paid star under 30 - came in fourth place, due to the massive success of the final instalment in the wizard fantasy spectacle, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The movies helped Daniel to return $34.24 to the studios' coffers for every $1 he was paid.
Rounding out the top is another under-30 star, Shia LaBeouf, 25, who helped film investors earn $29.40 for every dollar he was paid, thanks to the runaway success of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.
Older, more established actors dominate the bottom of the top 10. Robert Downey Jr placed sixth, ahead of Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett.
Johnny Depp was ranked 10th after the big box office returns of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but his bankability was hit by the relative failure of his much-hyped thriller The Tourist - in which he starred opposite Angelina Jolie.
