No Indiana Jones movie for two years

Los Angeles - Indiana Jones fans will have to wait at least two years for another movie.

Rumours emerged recently that a new installment was on the cards after Disney bought out the marketing and distribution rights to future Indiana Jones films from Paramount Pictures, but the media corporation have said it could take up to three years before the archaeologist embarks on his next adventure.

Walt Disney Studios' chairman, Alan Horn, told Variety, "We haven't done anything. We don't have a story. We need a story. It didn't make sense to produce the movie at Disney and then have it be distributed and marketed by Paramount."

Ford would be game for another one

Meanwhile, Harrison Ford admitted last month that he wants to reprise his role as 'Indy' after his last appearance in 2008 in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull.

He said, "I would love to make another Indiana Jones film... It would be great to return to the character, even at my age!"

"I would certainly be happy to play Indiana Jones one more time. I don't have the hat and the whip, but I know where I can find them!"

The Indiana Jones franchise first kicked off in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, which was closely followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984 and 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Hopefully it will be worth the wait...
