Los Angeles - Rachel Weisz is set to star in The Bourne Legacy.
The Constant Gardener actress has entered negotiations for a role in the spin-off - which will follow on from the first three Bourne films starring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne - alongside Jeremy Renner as an operative from a government programme more dangerous than the one that hatched Jason.
However the Tony Gilroy directed movie is set to begin shooting in September which could lead to a schedule clash for Rachel, who is reportedly also lined up to start shooting the role of the evil witch Evanora in Oz: The Great and Powerful alongside James Franco and Mila Kunis this summer.
Powerful witch
Evanora is a powerful witch who intends to rule the land and attempts to get her sister on side to help her in the Sam Raimi directed project, which is being seen as Disney's take on a prequel to the classic Wizard of Oz story about a girl from Kansas who is swept away to the magical Land of Oz.
Rachel - who last year announced her split from Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky - was last seen in The Lovely Bones but has a number of projects coming up.
In addition to The Deep Blue Sea, which is released this year, Rachel is also working on Fernando Meirelles' 360 alongside Jude Law, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Ben Foster.
