Los Angeles - US actress Sarah Jessica Parker, 49, will play the lead in the romantic comedy All Roads Lead to Rome, the industry paper Variety said on Thursday.
Swedish director Ella Lemhagen (Patrik Age 1.5) will begin shooting the movie this month in Rome, the paper said.
The movie focuses on Maggie, played by Parker, and her Italian ex-lover Luca, who go on a road trip in Italy to find Maggie's rebellious teenage daughter.

Parker was last seen on the silver screen in the comedies New Year's Eve and I Don't Know How She Does It. She became famous as the lifestyle columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the popular TV series Sex and the City which was also made into two movies.
