Sean Penn is looking for a one-day-old baby in Cape Town

2015-07-28 08:31

Cape Town – Sean Penn is currently in Cape Town re-shooting scenes for his movie, The Last Face.

Last week an advert was placed for casting of a one-day-old baby.

According to The Guardian the casting call was for a black pregnant woman about to give birth; only the baby would be needed for the scenes while the mother would be allowed on set. Pay was set at R1500 a day.

In South Africa there are currently no laws preventing a newborn baby from being used for a film.

The Guardian further reports that in the US it is illegal to use babies younger than 15 days old. Children between the ages of 15 days and 6 months are only allowed to work 20 minutes a day.
