Sex in Twilight film angers parents

Johannesburg - Vampires, werewolves... and now the birds and the bees.

Parents will most likely have a lot to explain to their young daughters after watching the next Twilight instalment, Breaking Dawn Part 1.

The producers of the new Twilight film, which is very popular among girls in their teens, have just released the first pictures of the film and it shows the two main characters naked in bed.

The main characters are played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Some viewers – who specifically likes the writer of the series, the dedicated Mormon Stephanie Meyer’s virtuous storyline – were caught by surprise. The fact that the teen characters in the previous instalments never went any further than long, loving stares, were what made the films so popular with teenagers and their parents.

Naked Pattinson

Pattinson told American journalists that his biggest frustration was the shooting of the sex scene which took twelve hours during which everyone stared at his bum.

"It’s always uncomfortable if you do it with someone," he told MTV.

There is a lot of speculation on the internet about how this scene looks in the film. The website Film School Rejects, among others, said: "They are going to try and shoot a sex scene for a film without an age restriction... They are filming a sex scene which 12-year-olds can watch."

The producer of the film, Wyck Godfrey, says the scene is a "genuine and important part of the film; sensual and romantic".

The film apparently also contains a gruesome scene where Stewart gives birth to a vampire baby.
