Los Angeles - Shia LaBeouf says Nymphomaniac will feature real sex.
The Transformers actor has signed up to star in the erotic drama - which director Lars von Trier plans to make two versions of, one less explicit than the other - and admits "everything" will actually happen, rather than be simulated.
He said: "[The movie] is what you think it is. It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
The film won't be the first to feature real sex - 2001's Intimacy did the same but Shia insists his movie will be different.
Asked what the cast - which includes Charlotte Gainsbourg - are preparing for, he told MTV News: "Whatever is asked. I think we all are. I've seen Intimacy. Lars is talking about something different. ... It's going to be a wild movie."
And the actor admits he is "terrified" about the experience on set.
He added: "[Von Trier] is very dangerous. He's the most dangerous dude that I've ever showed up for. I'm terrified. I'm so terrified, which is why I have to go. We'll see what happens."
