Cape Town – British comedian and actor Stephen Fry arrived in Cape Town on Saturday to film the movie The Borrowers.

The 53-year-old star, who is the host of quiz show QI, currently on BBC Entertainment, on Monday tweeted the following: "And - that's a wrap. 12 hours of larkish fun. Must say deeply impressed with brand new Cape Town Studios. Make Pinewood etc look v shabby."

Fry has also been impressed by the sights in the Mother City and tweeted on Wednesday morning: "A bright sunny morning in Cape Town again. The Table mountain and Lion's Head looking gorgeous and dramatic. What a city."

Filming of The Borrowers started on Monday and Fry has even enjoyed some traditional South African food: "Had a bowl of droëwors yesterday. Delish. Always been a biltong fan too. Not so fond of snoek TBH".
 
Fry plays a scientist in The Borrowers, which also stars Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Amelia) and Irish actor Robert Sheehan (Misfits, Killing Bono).
