Los Angeles — Henry Cavill pulled the ultimate prank last week.
We reported that the Superman star will be making a cameo in the second instalment of the erotic series, Fifty Shades Darker.
But it turns out he got us all excited about nothing!
In an interview with USA Today Henry came clean that he was just "messing around".
Henry says no one believed he was not involved with the franchise the first time around so this time he used a different tactic.
Very sneaky, Mr Superman!
He says he did enjoy watching the little white lie blow up on the internet and will definitely try another social experiment in the future.
