Sylvester Stallone working on Rambo 5

Los Angeles - Sylvester Stallone plans to play John Rambo for one last time in a final instalment of the film franchise.

The 65-year-old actor is working on a fifth Rambo movie - which has also been known as Rambo: The Last Stand - and revealed the Vietnam war veteran turned mercenary will go out in a "blaze of glory".

'Working on a formula'

He said: "There's a volcanic eruption [brewing]. The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface. It's one thing where you lay down the final culmination of your life where you can articulate it, but also act on it where he realises what his destiny really is.

"It's not to be a farmer, it's not to be obscure; it's to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion. But is he really doing it for himself or is he doing it because that's just his id? That's who he is."

Sylvester - who last appeared as the character in 2008's Rambo - hinted the fifth movie in the series could be set in Mexico and a storyline may revolve around the Latin American country.

Speaking to MTV News, he added: "I like the whole Mexican situation, what's going on down there. So I'm working on a formula for it right now."

Sylvester is currently working on action movies The Expendables 2, Bullet to the Head and The Tomb - and he recently admitted he is "dying" to portray John Rambo one more time.

He said: "I'm dying to do another Rambo. He's in Arizona on the border. It will involve him going into Mexico. I don't think Rambo likes Mexicans."

One of the many embarassing scenes in Rambo I is where our steroid pumped hero shoots an enemy guard with an arrow to keep the killing "quiet". Unless it is a perfect head-shot, taking out someone with a bow and arrow will probably result in a loud (terrible screaming) and painful death. And do special forces soldiers really prowl the bush with tight pants, glistening bare torsos, and a red head band? Perhaps we should all see this, because it actually has been a great comedy series, without Stallone clueing in.
