Los Angeles – Grumpy Cat finally has a voice.

Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza will voice the role of Grumpy Cat in the Lifetime live-action movie Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.

Best known for her role as the quirky April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation, this is a perfect fit.

In the movie the real Grumpy Cat (Tardar Sauce) will play the role of a lonely pet-store cat. A 12-year-old girl called Chrystal discovers she can talk to cats and rescues her on Christmas Eve.

The script was written by Tim Hill (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jeff Morris.

The movie is set to premiere on Lifetime on 29 November.
