Cape Town - Instagram has become the new home for movie trailer teasers. Because just having a movie trailer ain't enough anymore.
The next installment of the X-Men franchise mixes old and new generations from the older franchise and the reboot. They posted our first video sneak peek of the X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer that debuts on 29 October.
There will also be a Twitter chat with the director Bryan Singer (X-Men, X2) on 28 October with the tag #AskSinger where fans can ask any questions they have about the upcoming movie directly.
Social media marketing has become an important part of movie marketing, as productions like X-Men utilise all platforms to advertise, as well as creating a more direct link between the creators and the fans. It's cheap, effective and is usually driven by the fanbase themselves, which has become all the more important in helping to make a product successful.
