The old Batman gives new Batman advice

Los Angeles - Christian Bale has given Batman successor Ben Affleck an important piece of advice.

The Out of the Furnace actor - who played Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy - has told Ben to make sure he goes to the toilet before putting on the famous Batsuit ahead of his role in Batman vs Superman.

The 39-year-old star told Access Hollywood, "The only thing I said to him is to make sure he can take a p*ss without anyone having to help him because it's a little bit humiliating - at least what I went through - when you have to have someone help you out of the costume in order to do that."

"That was my main piece of advice to him."

Ben will make the role 'his own'

The actor thinks 41-year-old Ben will make the role "his own" and has nothing to worry about.

Christian added, "I wish him all the best, he's a very experienced actor and filmmaker."

"Our thing is finished, we always declared it was finished and it should be passed on to another actor - it will be again after him."

Henry Cavill will star alongside Ben in the film which is set to open in cinemas on July 27, 2015.
