London - Tom Hiddleston wants to direct.
The British actor - who plays Loki in Thor and The Avengers - would love to make the move into filmmaking in the future and says he even offered to direct the sequel to Thor, but was gently turned down.
He told Empire magazine: "Yes I do [want to direct]. I did ask, half-jokingly, Kevin Feige (head of Marvel) about directing Thor 2 and he said, 'Do you have something to show me?' I said no.
"He said, 'If you made something and showed me, I might consider it'. But it's better for the world that he said no. It would be such a responsibility, but I think I'd enjoy it."
The 31-year-old star hinted at what kind of film he would like to helm, claiming that movie making can be all the more imaginative and creative with a small budget.
Tom - who has become the new Jameson Empire Done in 60 Seconds ambassador - explained: "What's become clear is that you don't need that much money to be stylish.
"Gareth Edwards made Monsters for nothing and that film is amazing. And Jaws, they've got three men in a boar for the best section of the film - that's cheap, right? Its not $150m, is it?"
