Trompie and his chommies are back on the big screen!

Cape Town – All you 90s kids, this one will bring on the nostalgia.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Trompie, a full length film will be showing at the kykNet Silwerskerm Festival on Saturday, 30 August at the Bay Hotel in Camps Bay.

Based on the stories by Topsy Smith, it later became a popular television series.

The film introduces us to Trompie, the mischievious leader of the Boksombende. Together with his friends Rooies, Blikkie and Dawie the four have adventures that most of the time land them in big trouble.

Check out the trailer and take a trip down memory lane! This is one movie you don’t want to miss.

The Silwerskerm Festival is taking place from Wednesday 27 August until Saturday 30 August at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay. View the programme here and buy tickets for the festival here.
