Tokyo – A film distributor says it has decided to stop showing Clint Eastwood's supernatural movie Hereafter in Japan following a catastrophic quake.
The movie depicts the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami hitting land at a holiday resort in Thailand, engulfing everything in its path.
Warner Entertainment Japan official Satoru Otani says theatres will no longer show the film. He said on Monday the terrifying tsunami scenes in the movie were "not appropriate" at this time.
Hereafter opened in Japan in late February at around 180 cinemas. Warner Entertainment initially planned to show the movie until late March.
