Warner Bros plan another Batman reboot

Los Angeles – With Christopher Nolan's final Batman film currently in pre-production, the new Warner Bros movie head dropped a bombshell: the studio behind the franchise are working on another reboot of The Caped Crusader.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Warner executive Jeff Robinov also revealed that they are developing a Justice League movie which will bring together all the DC Comics superheroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman and others.

Harry Potter

According to Robinov, the new Batman flick would come after The Dark Knight Rises hits theatres, and the Justice League film, to be released in 2013, is expected to fill the summer blockbuster void left after the final Harry Potter movie is released in July this year.

Acoording to The Los Angeles Times, scripts featuring the Flash and Wonder Woman are also being written for Warner, who could be spun off into their own movies after Justice League.

Though Wonder Woman is also in the works as a television pilot for NBC produced by Warner, Robinov chose to see it as an opportunity. "Wonder Woman could be a film as well, the same way that Superman Returns came out while Smallville was on," he said, referring to the 2006 film starring Brandon Routh as Superman/Clark Kent and the television show starring Tom Welling, currently in its 10th and final season.

The Dark Knight Rises

Robinov assured fans that Batman will continue to be a priority beyond The Dark Knight Rises and Nolan’s departure from the franchise. "We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman… Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is."

The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman/Selina Kyle is expected to release in July 2012.
