Los Angeles – Just weeks before its premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, director David Wain gives us a sneak peek of his new movie, They Came Together released on Buzzfeed.
The film is a parody of the rom-com genre and stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler. Rudd plays Joel, a corporate businessman who has to shut down a small store run by Molly, played by Poehler.
In true rom-com fashion the two meet and don’t quiet hit it off until a ‘chance meeting’ at a bookstore where they connect through their common love of fiction novels. A relationship between the two develop mocking all the conventions of the genre.
