London - Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine celebrated their return to the UK by going to see Bridesmaids.
The royal couple – who have spent the last two weeks on an official visit to Canada and the US – spent a weekend afternoon in the cinema at Llandudno Junction, Wales, about 65km away from their home in Anglesey, where William is based in his capacity as a RAF search and rescue pilot.
Cineworld confirmed on its twitter page: "Prince William & Kate Middy saw Bridesmaids at Cineworld Llandudno this W'end. Wonder what they made of Kristen Wiigs 'one eyed' impression? (sic)"
Balmoral invitation
William and Kate – who tied the knot on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey – are expected to spend the remainder of the summer in North Wales, giving the pair some time to "enjoy their marriage".
A palace spokesperson recently said: "They have the rest of their lives to be public figures and working hard on behalf of the queen and want to keep things on a level and enjoy their marriage."
Meanwhile, Kate is also expected to travel to Queen Elizabeth's Scottish residence, Balmoral, to get to know her new grandmother-in-law better.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, explained: "This is quite an important visit for Kate because, believe it or not, the queen does not really know her very well at all.
"Kate has never had an invitation before to stay at Balmoral - but she is family now and the queen wants to get to know her.
"It is an important visit in many ways - not least because the queen will want Kate to meet all the staff - one day she will be responsible for them. The queen needs to present Kate to Scotland. The time has come."
