Cape Town – 40 years after its original release Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece Apocalypse Now: Final Cut is back in cinemas.
For one week only you can watch or re-watch what is said to be one of the best films of all time. Starring Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, and Harrison Ford, it follows a veteran army officer who is tasked to kill a highly decorated war hero.
Also showing: Gerard Butler must save the American president again in the third instalment of the Fallen franchise, four teens encounter deadly sharks deep down at sea, and a local film with a Guy Ritchie feel.
HERE ARE THE 4 NEW FILMS RELEASING IN SA CINEMAS
Movie: Apocalypse Now: Final Cut
Our rating: 5/5
Short review: With a one-week-only stay at IMAX theatres across the country, don’t miss out on a chance to gain a new appreciation for one of the greatest, most artful films and most visceral ever made, fully remastered and recut for the latest IMAX cinemas under the supervision of its original director.
Movie: Angel Has Fallen
Our rating: 2/5
Short review: The second sequel in an increasingly unlikely franchise, Angel Has Fallen is a perfectly proficient action-thriller that nonetheless does nothing to deserve the price of a cinema ticket.

Short review: Anyone who’s ever dived in their lives will absolutely hate this trash movie.
