Benedict Cumberbatch will steal your Christmas next year

Las Vegas — The Grinch has a new voice: Benedict Cumberbatch. 

Universal Pictures announced the collaboration at CinemaCon, an annual gathering of theater owners in Las Vegas.

Benedict will lend his voice as the villainous Grinch to the newly imagined version of the classic Dr Seuss tale. 

The film will be directed by Pete Candeland and Yarrow Cheney.

It is set to be released in November 2017, 17 years after Jim Carey's memorable role in the live-action movie  How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
