Black Panther movie starts production with SA actor reprising his role

Cape Town – Marvel announced on Thursday that production for the much-anticipated Black Panther movie has officially begun.

And together with the announcement, they also revealed the full cast, which includes SA actor John Kani who will be reprising his role as King T’Chaka.

Fans were freaking out on Twitter on Saturday morning about the news of Kani’s return, with a tweet sharing the full cast for Black Panther even trending on the social media platform. See the tweet below:

Kani played Black Panther's father King T'Chaka of Wakanda in Captain America: Civil War.

According to Marvel, Black Panther will follow T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King.

However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
