Brie Larson did something absolutely beautiful at the Oscars and a reporter filmed it!

Los Angeles - Brie Larson hugged all of the 50 sexual assault victims from Lady GaGa's Til It Happens To You Oscars performance.

The Born This Way singer was joined on stage by a number of victims of abuse as she performed her Academy Award-nominated song from the rape documentary The Hunting Ground at the ceremony on Sunday night and Best Actress winner Brie gave each brave person a cuddle as they left the stage.

The beautiful gesture wasn’t broadcast on TV but Chris Gardner, from the Hollywood Reporter, captured the moment with his phone.

Watch it here:

While Brie showed her support at the Dolby theatre, a number of stars took to Twitter to praise the performance of Lady Gaga - who was also a victim of sexual assault when she was just 19.

Pop star Kesha - who accused her producer Dr Luke of sexually abusing her - thanked Gaga for speaking out and said it was "very close to her heart".

Tyra Banks said: "You continue to give me chills @ladygaga. #Oscars My love goes out to all who have been sexually assaulted. #NotYourFault (sic)"

And actress Lindsay Lohan added: "@ladygaga beautiful performance #survivetogether #prayforchildren (sic)"
