Controversial new Snow White film called out for body shaming

Cape Town – A new animation about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is being slammed for body shaming – and rightfully so.

Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs tells the story of princes who have turned into dwarfs seeking the red shoes of a lady in order to break the curse.

Model Tess Holliday was one of the first to call out the movie after spotting it's poster somewhere in Los Angeles.

In the poster a tall and slender Snow White is placed next to a shorter plain-faced version with the tag line: "What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?"

Alongside a picture of the poster Tess wrote: "How did this get approved by an entire marketing team? Why is it okay to tell young kids being fat = ugly?"

She also called out Chloë Grace Moretz who according to IMDb will voice Snow White.
