Deadpool 2 kicks off filming

Cape Town – Filming for Deadpool 2 has finally begun. 

The sequel starring Ryan Reynolds as Marvel superhero Wade Wilson aka Deadpool kicked off filming on Monday in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Earlier in the day the actor was spotted on set wearing a white shirt with his hands in full character – showing off Wade's disfigured skin.

Later in the day he was filmed wearing the Deadpool mask and gatecrashing what seems to be a kiddies party. 

We can only imagine what's about to go down at that party.

Ryan posted an image on Instagram to commemorate the end of filming on day one. Alongside the picture he wrote: "The sun sets on day 1. Feels good to be back. This dog can hunt."

Earlier this month he sent the fandom into overdrive when he posted a picture of him in character in front of the X-Men Mansion. 

Dropped by X-Mansion. Looked closely for Beast's lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap.

Principal photography kicked off at the mansion at the beginning of June.
