Los Angeles - Fans of singing diva Beyoncé, brace yourselves: Queen Bey may star in the upcoming Disney remake of The Lion King.
According to Variety magazine, the film’s director, Jon Favreau, wants the superstar to voice the role of Nala in a live-action reboot of one of Disney’s most popular movies, having grossed millions since its original release in 1994.
However, it seems that Beyoncé hasn’t made up her mind yet. The role of Nala is a relatively small one.
She is Simba the lion’s childhood friend who later becomes his wife.
Reports suggest that Donald Glover, the 33-year-old actor and rapper, is currently on board to voice Simba, and veteran actor James Earl Jones is confirmed to reprise his classic role as Simba’s father, Mufasa.
Having recently performed at the Grammys, Beyoncé has since cleared her schedule because she is pregnant with twins.
She cancelled an upcoming headline gig at the annual Coachella music and arts festival in California, leaving Lady Gaga to fill the coveted slot.
