Ex-Batmen gave Ben Affleck advice

Los Angeles - Ben Affleck got Batman advice from George Clooney and Christian Bale.

The 43-year-old actor takes over the Batsuit from Christian in the upcoming Batman v Superman and revealed he turned to a few of his predecessors to get some further insight.

Ben joked: "I talked to Clooney and he gave me some advice which is not repeatable. And I talked to Christian, who just told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practice advice as it turned out."

George took on the leading role in 1997's much-maligned Batman & Robin, while Christian starred in Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises

Ben stars alongside Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, and admitted he was worried about competing with Henry's chiselled physique.

He told Good Morning America: "I saw Henry's movie and thought, there's no way I'm going to be in that good shape. He definitely set a high bar but Superman has to because he's an alien. I figured I had a lower bar to reach, Batman's just a man after all. I put on about 20lbs of muscle which is really hard to do, especially at my advanced age."
