First look at Tom Hardy in Venom

Cape Town – Tom Hardy has been hard at work getting into fighting shape for his role as Venom in the Spider-Man spinoff. (Read more)

And now Sony pictures has released a first image of his character.

In the picture posted by Entertainment Weekly Hardy can be seen as Eddie Brock. Brock was a reporter at the Daily Globe before he transformed into his alter-ego villian, Venom.

Indiewire reports that Hardy and director Ruben Fleischer recently appeared via satellite at Brazil Comic Con to tease the film.

Speaking about his role Hardy says that he is doing his best to deliver the best Venom he possibly can. 

Fleisher added that they want the film to be as true as possible to the comic.

The film is schedule to be released in October 2018.
