FIRST LOOK: Elizabeth Banks as Power Rangers baddie

Los Angeles – Elizabeth Banks taps into her dark side as the villain in the Power Rangers movie. 

The actress is set to play the evil alien with Rita Repulsa who is intent of taking over the world.

She looks totally repulsive in the first image of her in character.

Speaking to People the actress said she has never played a villain before and that she is looking forward to "world domination."

She also revealed that the character has been given a backstory to connect her to the Power Rangers.

The big screen reboot stars newcomers Becky G, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, R.J. Cyler who will play the colourful rangers tasked to stop Rita from conquering earth. 

The film is set to be released in March 2017.
