Here are the three ladies tipped to play the female lead in Han Solo movie

Cape Town – Casting for the female lead to star alongside Alden Ehrenreich in the Han Solo spin-off has begun. 

According to Variety, three actresses have tested for the mystery role earlier this week.

Zoe Kravitz (Mad Max Fury Road), Tessa Thompson (Creed) and Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) have participated in a second round of auditions. 

The publication also reports that Donald Glover (The Martian) is at the top of the list to play the role of Lando Calrissian.

The actor had to undergo another audition because Disney wanted to be certain about the casting. 

Filming for the movie is set to begin in January/February 2017.

The yet untitled film is set to hit theatres in May 2018.
