Hollywood A-listers arrive in Namibia as Mummy filming kicks off

Cape Town – The Mummy reboot starring Tom Cruise is currently being filmed in Namibia. 

The production which started filming in Oxford in England has moved to the Namib Desert. 

The latest instalment of the franchise will be set in present day and focus on a female mummy.

Cruise plays a Navy Seal who has to face the mummy alongside am archaeologist played by Annabelle Wallis.

The actress took to Twitter to share images of the cast in Namibia.

Other cast members include Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe will star as Dr Jekyll. 

The film is set to be released in June 2017.
