Los Angeles - Hugh Jackman will begin filming for the Wolverine sequel "sooner rather than later".
The 47-year-old actor has teased the script for the third instalment of the Marvel movie had been delivered to him and hinted it wouldn't be long until he reprises his role.
He told Collider: "We have a script. A full script. Two days ago I got that the full finished - well, it's not finished, but we're getting super close - as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps ... Yeah, it's sooner rather than later.
"I don't have a firm date yet. My thing and I've told you and I've told everyone, it's my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it's perfect, bang, we'll go."
Meanwhile, Hugh previously revealed he gets "annoyed" at the tough diet and exercise regime he has to undertake to prepare for his role as the mutant.
He said: "Wolverine is very determined and visceral. It's not just his anger that drives him, although he obviously uses anger to his advantage.
"I don't get angry while playing him. I get more annoyed in the months leading up to the start of filming and having to go on this insane diet and training regime in order to put on 11kg and bulk up. You'd be angry too if you were eating 6,000 calories a day and bench-pressing 158kgs."
