Jude Law joins the cast of Captain Marvel

Cape Town – Variety reports that Jude Law will play the male lead in Captain Marvel. 

According to the publication Law is in negotiations to play Doctor Walter Lawson aka Captain Mar-Vell.

The film will follow Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), an air force pilot who develops superpower after her DNA fuses with an alien. 

Doctor Lawson mentors Danvers as she comes to terms with her powers.

Other cast members include Samuel L Jacskon who will reprise his role as Nick Fury and Ben Mendolshon will play the villain Half Nelson. 

Captain Marvel starts filming in February 2018.
