PICS: We braved icy London to meet Hollywood stars on the red carpet

London – It was an icy Wednesday night in London, but not even the cold could keep us away from the European premiere of Live by Night.

The film, starring Ben Affleck, is set in the Prohibition Era and centres on a group of individuals and their dealings in the world of organised crime.

Channel24 flew to London to attend the red carpet premiere at the BFI Southbank and to interview the stars in a South African exclusive sitdown interview to be published later this month.

It’s a surreal experience to stand next to the red carpet and see Hollywood stars like Ben Affleck, Sienna Miller, Chris Messina and Jennifer Todd up close and personal.

We arrived nice and early to see the red carpet get rolled out:

While we waited for the stars to arrive we did a quick Facebook Live broadcast:

And another when the action kicked off:

There was of course time for a selfie:

And we flew the South African flag high:

Then Ben arrived:

Sienna Miller was brave in a sleeveless black-and-white gown:

But Ben was there to keep her warm:

The cast was enjoying the moment in the spotlight:

It was over in a flash and felt like a dream we didn’t want to wake up from. Keep a lookout for our interviews with the cast coming soon.

Live by Night opens in South African cinemas on 3 February 2017.
