Cape Town – Twenty-two years ago the brutal attack of Alison Botha made headlines.
She was kidnapped by two men who raped her, stabbed her over 30 times and slit her throat. They left her to die but she miraculously survived.
Alison's story is now being told in a powerful documentary that will be released in cinemas later this year.
It has been selected at the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival 2016.
The film is narrated by Alison and stars Christina Visser who plays her in the re-enactments.
