Los Angeles – Ryan Gosling confirmed that he will be star alongside Harrison Ford in the Blade Runner sequel.
In an interview with Collider this past weekend, the actor said that it was the opportunity to work with director Denis Villeneuve and cinematographer Roger Deakins that convinced him to take on the role.
However, Ryan remained tight lipped and joked that ‘there’s a chip in me and if I say anything more I’ll explode if I say anything else.’
Hampton Fancher and Michael Green wrote the script for the film and the story takes place several decades after the original, which was set in a dystopian 2019 Los Angeles.
Harrison Ford is set to reprise his original role as Rick Deckard while Ryan’s role is yet to be revealed.
The film is set to begin shooting in 2016.
