Stephen King gives IT his stamp of approval

Cape Town – Book to film adaptations rarely get everyone's stamp of approval.

The first ever big screen adaption of Stephen King's IT hits cinemas on 15 September. And it has big shoes to fill – the 1990 miniseries featuring Tim Curry is a cult horror classic.

Early reviews have hailed it one of the best movies of the year.

And now, author Stephen King has added his voice and given it his stamp of approval.

In an interview with GEEKZTOR, King reveals that he has already watched it twice.

He goes on to say that he was not prepared for how good it really was.

"It’s something that’s different, and at the same time it’s something that audiences are going to relate to and they’re going to like the characters," says King.

About Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the clown he says that he was great.
